Obverse description Plain cream paper note of emergency issue type, with a central rectangular cartouche at top containing the denomination inscription in Arabic script. Below, a handwritten Arabic text body constitutes the body of the note, stating the promise to pay and the date, with a manuscript serial number above the text. Two official circular ink stamps are applied to the left and right sides — the left bearing the legend of the Gouvernorat du Soudan in French and Arabic, the right a smaller Ottoman-style seal — and a manuscript signature appears at the lower centre attributing the note to Gordon Pasha.

Reverse description Entirely plain reverse printed on unadorned cream paper stock with no vignette, underprint, or decorative elements. A handwritten pencil notation reading '100 Piastres' appears in the upper left corner, likely a collector's or cataloguer's annotation added at a later date.
