| Reverse description | Printed entirely in green, the reverse is dominated by a large lozenge-shaped guilloche frame enclosing a central oval cartouche bearing the Canadian provincial coat of arms with crown above, flanked by shields of the Canadian provinces. The bold numerals '100' appear in intaglio at both left and right within the ornate lathe-work border. The overall design is executed in fine engine-turned geometric patterns typical of late 19th-century security printing. Cancellation holes are visible along the lower centre, indicating a cancelled specimen or remainder. |
