Beschrijving keerzijde The upper portion carries the municipal arms of Korbach — a heraldic shield surmounted by a bishop figure — flanked on either side by the denomination '100' in large red numerals against a dark band, with the word 'Pfennig' in stylised script. Below, a full-width colour vignette presents a view of the old town gate of Corbach as it appeared circa 1848, rendered in a folk-art lithographic style with red-roofed buildings, stone archways, and lush foliage.

Opmerkingen

Notgeld issued by a sports club is uncommon even within the already crowded field of 1922 German emergency currency. Sport-Verein 09 Korbach was almost certainly using the issue as a fundraising mechanism rather than a genuine substitute for circulating coinage — a widespread practice among civic organizations during the inflation years, when collector demand for Notgeld had itself become a minor revenue stream.

Louis Koch of Halberstadt was a mid-tier regional printer responsible for a number of Waldeck-area issues during this period. Korbach served as the administrative seat of the former Principality of Waldeck, which had only formally merged with Prussia in 1929.
