Opmerkingen

Wilsnack — officially Bad Wilsnack after 1936 — was a small Brandenburg town whose late medieval pilgrimage cult around the "Wunderblut" had faded centuries before this note was printed. By 1922, it was issuing Notgeld like hundreds of other German municipalities simply to keep small-denomination transactions moving as hyperinflation made Reichsbank coin and low-value paper effectively worthless.

The Magistrat series from Wilsnack is not considered scarce. Most surviving examples show light handling consistent with brief local circulation before being pulled as the inflationary spiral made even 100 Pfennig notes economically negligible within months of issue.
