| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red and black on plain paper, with a bold decorative letterpress layout. The issuer name STÄDTISCHE SPARKASSE and the large stylised town name NEUMARKT IN SCHLESIEN appear across the upper half, with the denomination EINHUNDERT PFENNIGE rendered in oversized display lettering at centre. Below, the date NEUMARKT, DEN 10. OKTOB. 1921 is followed by two manuscript signature lines for DER VERWALTUNGSRAT and STÄDT. SPARKASSE, and a redemption notice in small type stating the note must be presented by 31 December 1922. |

| Reverse description | The reverse carries a finely printed black vignette of the Gasthof zum blauen Stern (Inn of the Blue Star), a multi-storey half-timbered building with a decorative rosette above the entrance, set against bare trees. A cartouche to the left bears the inscription recording that Frederick the Great lodged in this house on the night before the Battle of Leuthen. The large underprint numeral 100 appears in pale tone behind the vignette, and SERIE II is noted in the lower left margin. |
