Obverse description Central oval vignette on a yellow dotted background, framed by a dark border, bearing the municipal coat of arms of Katscher — a heraldic shield with a rampant lion above a crenellated tower, flanked by crossed banners and two six-pointed stars in yellow. Below the arms appear three circular seals of the incorporated communes (Gemeinde Portlange/Nau, Gemeinde Neu-Katscher, and Gemeinde Lehn-Langenau), above the issuer inscription MAGISTRAT VON KATSCHER o/S with two manuscript signatures. OKTOBER 1921 and the redemption notice DIESER GUTSCHEIN WIRD BIS ZUM 31.12.1922 BEI DER STADTKASSE EINGELÖST!, while denomination underprint values of 100 in red are repeated across all four corners of the note.
