| Obverse description | The upper register carries the denomination title in Gothic blackletter script within a decorative banner. The central vignette presents a colour letterpress illustration of the Zahnrad-Bahnhof (rack-railway station) with a locomotive and rolling stock on the tracks, captioned accordingly. To the left, a vignette of Saint Andrew holding a book and staff appears within a ruled panel, while to the right the municipal coat of arms of Sankt Andreasberg — quartered with a red-and-white chequered field and crossed mining hammers — is set against a pine-branch surround. The lower register carries the serial number at left and the issuing authority text with date and manuscript signature of the Kurverwaltung at right. |
