| Obverse description | Typographically bold Notgeld note printed in black on cream paper, with the issuer's title 'Stadt Dülken / Niederrhein' set in Gothic blackletter at the top centre, flanked by the validity clause 'Gültig bis' at upper left and the expiry date '1. Januar 1922' at upper right. The central denomination inscription 'Gutschein über Einhundert Pfennig' is rendered in large ornate Gothic script with decorative flourishes, above a two-line acceptance clause and the issue date 'Dülken, den 1. August 1920'. The circular municipal arms of Dülken appear at lower left, with the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature at lower right and the printer's imprint 'Schött A.G. Rheydt' at the foot. |
