Obverse description The note is divided into three vertical panels within an ornate decorative border with yellow and grey scrollwork. The left panel carries the issuer text in gothic blackletter script on a white ground. The central panel presents a coloured vignette of the Krempe town hall (Rathaus) dated 1570, a stepped-gable brick building with a clock tower, captioned above in gothic script. The right panel contains the validity and redemption notice in Low German dialect, dated December 1920, with the manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister; the artist's name 'Jul. Nielsen-Itz.' appears at lower right.

Reverse description The reverse is arranged in two main zones. The left two-thirds carry a pair of adjoining historical vignettes in a woodcut-style coloured print: the left scene shows armed soldiers with halberds and banners before a windmill and church, captioned 'Kremper Gill, gründ 1541.'; the right scene depicts townspeople and a flag-bearing soldier before a half-timbered house, with the caption 'Kremper Deerms ün Toorn' in a decorative banner below. The right third contains the denomination '100 Penn' in bold gothic numerals on a blue ground, a serial number tablet in pink, and the polychrome municipal coat of arms of Krempe at the base. The printer's imprint 'Druck von Carl Griese, Hamburg' appears along the lower margin.
Reverse lettering Kremper Gill, gründ 1541.
