Reverse description The ornate coat of arms of the State of Zacatecas is centrally positioned in the gold centre field, featuring a baroque-style escutcheon depicting a mountain scene with an image of the Virgin of Zacatecas at the summit flanked by two armed conquistadors and two indigenous figures, with a sun and crescent moon in the upper quarters; the shield is surrounded by elaborate rocaille scrollwork and surmounted by the date 2003 in raised numerals. The Mexico City mint mark Mo appears to the left within the silver ring. The legend ESTADO DE ZACATECAS arcs along the upper periphery of the silver ring, while the denomination $100 is inscribed at the base, all separated by a border of raised beads.
