Reverse description The silver centre displays the coat of arms of the State of Yucatán: a quartered shield featuring a leaping deer at centre, flanked by two colonial church facades, a henequen agave plant in the lower portion, and a sun motif in the upper quarter, surmounted by a crenellated tower; a scroll below the shield bears the legend YUCATAN. The date 2003 is inscribed above the shield in the field, and the Mexico City mintmark Mo appears to the left on the aluminium bronze ring. The outer ring carries the state name ESTADO DE YUCATAN along the upper arc with a beaded border, and the denomination $100 is struck along the lower arc.
