Reverse description The gold-toned bimetallic centre depicts a detailed elevated view of the Pyramid of the Niches at El Tajín, the pre-Columbian archaeological site of Veracruz, rendered in finely struck relief. The denomination $100 appears in the lower portion of the centre field. The surrounding silver ring carries the inscriptions VERACRUZ and DE IGNACIO DE LA LLAVE arcing along the upper and lower periphery respectively, with TAJÍN, the date 2007, and the Mexico City mint mark Mo positioned within the ring.
