Reverse description A finely detailed, full-rigged sailing vessel — the Spanish Navy training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano — is depicted underway at sea, occupying the majority of the field. The ship is rendered in meticulous detail with all sails set, showing her characteristic topsails, topgallants, and staysails, along with a visible hull with gun ports and an elaborately worked bow. Light waves are engraved beneath the hull. The date 2000 appears in the lower right field near the stern. The series title RELIQUIAS DE LA NAVEGACION arcs along the upper legend, while BUQUE ESCUELA "JUAN SEBASTIAN ELCANO" is inscribed in two lines along the lower periphery.
