| Obverse description | The gold centre features the Mexican national arms in high relief, depicting an eagle displayed facing left, devouring a serpent, perched upon a nopal cactus rising from a rocky outcrop. The central device is rendered entirely in .999 gold, imparting a rich two-tone contrast against the mirror-finish silver ring. An oak and laurel wreath, struck in silver, frames the lower portion of the central device within the ring. The legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper periphery of the silver ring in raised Latin lettering. |
