Reverse description At the upper centre of the field, a pre-Columbian relief carving of a winged bird resting in a stylised boat or canoe is depicted, rendered in an Aztec or Mesoamerican artistic style. The place name HUITZILAPAN is inscribed in a straight legend immediately below the central device. The large denomination numeral $100 dominates the lower central field, with the Mexico City mint mark Mo and the date 1991 struck below. A reeded border frames the entire design.
