Obverse description Black intaglio on yellow-gold underprint. A central vignette presents the Palace de los López in Asunción, framed by the country name along the top margin and the issuer's name below; the face value is inscribed in letters beneath the vignette. An oval overprint reading "Emisión del Estado" is applied at centre, with the authorising law date incorporated into the lower legend.
Obverse lettering REPÚBLICA DEL PARAGUAY EL BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA Pagará al portador y á la vista CIEN PESOS MONEDA NACIONAL CONFORME A LA LEY DE 26 DE DICIEMBRE DE 1907. EMISSIÓN DEL ESTADO LEY 11 DE ENERO DE 1912
(Translation: Republic of Paraguay The Bank of the Republic will pay to the bearer and at sight One Hundred Pesos National Currency Accordingly to law from December 26th., 1907. State Issue - Law of January 11th., 1912)
Reverse description Dark blue on yellow-gold underprint. The Paraguayan Coat of Arms occupies the centre, encircled by the country name as a curved legend. The face value is expressed numerically on both lateral margins and in full letters in the lower panel, with guilloche work filling the background field.
