Opmerkingen

The Banco Central de la República Dominicana was established in 1947, making 2002 its 55th anniversary — the occasion this commemorative issue marks directly. De La Rue's production for Dominican commemoratives during this period followed the bank's long-standing preference for London-printed notes over regional alternatives, a relationship that had held for decades despite periodic political turbulence on the island.

Watermarking alone as the security feature is notably sparse for a commemorative of this denomination by the early 2000s, when Dominican issues were already incorporating more layered authentication elements.
