背面描述 The silver centre field features a radiant Liberty Cap inscribed LIBERTAD, from which numerous rays emanate downward in a bold sunburst design. The commemorative dates 1905 and 2005 flank the base of the rays at left and right respectively, and the mint mark Mo appears to the right within the field. The denomination $100 is prominently displayed in large raised numerals at the lower centre of the inner disc. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend REFORMA MONETARIA arching along the upper periphery, flanked by segmented reeding, with an oak and laurel wreath decorating the lower portion.

附加信息

The 1905 monetary reform this coin commemorates was a definitive break from Mexico's bimetallic silver-gold standard, replacing it with a gold-based system under the influence of Finance Minister José Yves Limantour and the technocratic *Científicos* who dominated policy under Porfirio Díaz. The reform stabilized the peso against chronic silver depreciation but locked in an exchange rate that would prove untenable once Díaz fell and revolution consumed the country just five years later.

The irony of commemorating that reform in a bimetallic coin with a substantial silver centre is not lost on serious collectors of Mexican issues.
