Obverse description Central oval vignette shows a seated allegorical female figure beside a barrel, with a sailing ship visible in the background, the whole framed by elaborate guilloche lacework. The denomination CIEN PESOS appears repeatedly in the side panels and along the upper and lower borders, with numeral 100 in the corner cartouches. Two manuscript signatures and the date 1° NOVIEMBRE 1848 appear below the central vignette, flanking the issuing authority text.
