Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, rendered in detail with its characteristic shield, key, fasces, and Phrygian cap. A curved legend along the upper periphery reads 'REPUBLICA DE CUBA', while the denomination appears below the arms. Weight and fineness designations flank the central device on either side. The design is bordered by a continuous rope motif running close to the coin's edge.
