| Obverse description | The obverse features the facing effigy of José Martí at left and a portrait of Fidel Castro at right, both rendered in high-relief proof finish. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 PESOS and the metallic specifications 1 OZ. AU 0.999 appear in the lower portion of the field. The design commemorates the pairing of the founding father of Cuban independence with the revolutionary leader. The inscriptions are sharply struck in the Latin alphabet against a mirrored proof field. |
