背面描述 The silver centre displays the coat of arms of the State of Hidalgo in high relief, depicting a quartered shield: the upper half bears two crossed flags over a mountain peak flanked by a liberty bell and a laurel branch with an eagle head, while the lower half shows a drum and three oval forms representing mining rings, set against a wavy field. The date 2005 is inscribed in the field above the shield, and the mintmark Mo appears to the left within the silver centre. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend ESTADO DE HIDALGO arcing along the upper periphery and the denomination $100 at the base, all in raised Latin characters, with a beaded border separating the ring from the centre.

附加信息

The 100 Pesos bimetallic series, launched in 1991, was conceived specifically to showcase Mexican silver craftsmanship while producing a coin substantial enough to resist counterfeiting — a persistent problem for high-denomination Mexican coinage through the 1980s and 1990s. Miguel Hidalgo's presence here is unremarkable in one sense — his face has appeared on Mexican currency almost continuously since independence — but the .925 silver core makes this a genuine bullion-adjacent issue, not a token gesture toward the metal.

By 2005, the series had expanded to over 30 distinct state and cultural subjects. The Hidalgo reverse ties back to the original 1991 anchor design that launched the denomination.
