Reverse description The silver centre displays the coat of arms of the State of Hidalgo in high relief, depicting a quartered shield: the upper half bears two crossed flags over a mountain peak flanked by a liberty bell and a laurel branch with an eagle head, while the lower half shows a drum and three oval forms representing mining rings, set against a wavy field. The date 2005 is inscribed in the field above the shield, and the mintmark Mo appears to the left within the silver centre. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend ESTADO DE HIDALGO arcing along the upper periphery and the denomination $100 at the base, all in raised Latin characters, with a beaded border separating the ring from the centre.
