Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicted in fine detail with the traditional quartered shield, Phrygian cap, oak and laurel branches, and rising sun. A circular legend at the top reads 'REPUBLICA DE CUBA' and 'BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA', while the face value '100 PESOS' appears in the lower portion of the legend. The design follows the standard obverse type shared with the non-piedfort issue KM#316.
