Reverse description The silver centre field presents a faithful reproduction of the colonial 8 Escudos milled gold coin struck at the Mexico City Mint in 1748 under King Ferdinand VI, featuring the royal crowned shield flanked by crowned pillars of Hercules with scrolling banners, surrounded by a tressure of arches. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend HERENCIA NUMISMÁTICA DE MÉXICO along with the mint mark Mo, the date 2014, and the denomination $100 arranged around the periphery.
