| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms occupies the silver centre field, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus atop a rock rising from a lake, holding a serpent in its beak and talons, rendered in high relief. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the curved legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the upper periphery. The lower portion of the ring is adorned with an ornamental wreath of oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon at the base. |
