Reverse description The silver centre displays a dynamic skeletal scene in the distinctive calavera style of Mexican engraver José Guadalupe Posada, depicting Don Quijote de la Mancha as a skeleton knight on horseback charging with a lance, accompanied by a skeletal Sancho Panza on a donkey and other fallen skeletal figures, all rendered in bold low relief. The engraver's attribution J.G. POSADA and the mint mark Mo appear in the upper field of the centre. The denomination $100 is inscribed at the lower centre of the silver field. The aluminium bronze ring bears the legend DON QUIJOTE DE LA MANCHA arching along the upper periphery, with the commemorative dates 1605-400 ANIVERSARIO-2005 along the lower periphery.
