| Reverse description | The reverse displays within the silver centre a faithful reproduction of a colonial-era 8 reales macuquina (cob) coin bearing Far Eastern counter-stamps, struck at the Mexico City Mint and dated 1617, with mint mark Mo and assayer initials visible in the field. The outer aluminium bronze ring carries a border of small raised beads along its inner edge and bears the legend HERENCIA NUMISMATICA DE MEXICO arcing along the upper periphery. The mint mark Mo appears to the lower left of the ring, the date 2013 to the lower right, and the denomination $100 is inscribed at the bottom of the ring in raised figures. |
