Comments

The sheer number of signature combinations on this series — over thirty across nine distinct dates — reflects how actively Banco de México rotated its Subgovernors throughout the decade, each change in the board requiring a new printing run. The critical structural break falls in late 2004, when tactile accessibility marks were added to the upper right corner; notes dated 21.11.2003 and earlier lack them entirely, making the date field the fastest diagnostic tool for distinguishing the two variants.

Collectors assembling a complete signature run face a genuine challenge: some pairings appear across multiple dates while others are confined to a single issue, and the Hernández Barba / Ortiz Martínez combination from 21.11.2003 is notably harder to locate than the more common Valdés Ramos pairings from 2005 onward.
