Opmerkingen

Banco de la República's long-running 100 Pesos series printed by ABNC covered one of the more turbulent stretches of Colombian history — the late 1940s violence known as La Violencia killed an estimated 200,000 people and destabilized the country's institutions throughout much of this note's production run. The central bank kept issuing through all of it, which is partly why the date range stretches across thirteen years.

ABNC's intaglio work on Colombian issues from this period is consistently fine. Notes that circulated heavily show ink wear along the high-relief areas first.
