备注

Colombia's paper currency in the early twentieth century circulated against a backdrop of severe monetary instability — the thousand-day civil war of 1899–1902 had wrecked the economy and produced hyperinflation under the prior peso papel moneda regime. The 1910 issue marked part of the stabilization effort following the creation of the gold-backed peso oro, and the República de Colombia's decision to contract the American Bank Note Company reflected both a distrust of domestic printing capacity and a desire for internationally credible production quality.

ABNC's New York engravers were responsible for the intaglio work. The paper survives poorly in Colombian climates; humidity degradation is a known issue across this entire series.
