Printed in brown-red on white cotton paper, the reverse is entirely composed of intricate guilloche lathe-work with a large central rosette medallion bearing the numeral '100' at its centre, flanked by two smaller circular ornamental vignettes. The vertical legends 'EL BANCO DE' at left and 'GUATEMALA' at right are set within the guilloche border framework, and repeating '100' numerals appear in the corner panels, the whole design serving as an elaborate anti-counterfeiting underprint. |
