Obverse description Brown-tinted note with ornate letterpress border of repeated denomination counters reading '100' and 'Cien' along all four edges. The upper centre carries the bank title 'Banco Hipotecario' in calligraphic script above the bold legend 'PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES', with the place and date 'La Plata, Julio de 1891' below. Large guilloche rosette counters bearing the numeral '100' occupy the left and right fields, flanking a central text panel stating the bond clause and denomination 'CIEN PESOS / MONEDA NACIONAL DE CURSO LEGAL'; the Argentine national coat of arms appears at upper right.

Reverse description Printed in blue on plain paper, the reverse is dominated by a large central text block setting out the full text of the 'Ley de 14 de Julio de 1891', surrounded by a fine guilloche lathe-work border with large '100' numeral panels at left and right. Ornamental rosette vignettes occupy each corner, and the imprint 'TALLERES DEL BANCO DE LA PLATA' appears at the foot centre.
