备注

The 100 Pengő notes of 1943 belong to a period when Magyar Nemzeti Bank was printing under serious wartime fiscal pressure — Hungary's military commitments on the Eastern Front were generating deficits that paper issuance could only temporarily mask. Inflation was already embedded in the system by this point; the hyperinflation that would eventually make the pengő the most severely devalued currency in recorded history was still two years away, but the trajectory was set.

P#115 carries a Veszprém overprint or regional designation, distinguishing it within the broader wartime series. Such regional variants often reflect administrative distribution controls rather than separate monetary policy — worth establishing provenance on any example before attributing special regional significance.
