Obverse description The obverse is printed in shades of purple and brown on a light green underprint. At right, an intaglio portrait of King Matthias Corvinus (MÁTYÁS KIRÁLY) set within an ornate guilloche frame; at left, a vertical panel with the Hungarian coat of arms flanked by allegorical figures and the denomination numeral 100. The centre carries the issuer inscription MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK, the place and date line BUDAPEST, 1930. ÉVI JULIUS HÓ 1. ÉN, two facsimile signatures with their titles (FŐTANÁCSOS and VEZÉRIGAZGATÓ), and a serial number prefixed by an asterisk (indicating a replacement or starred series), as in *E 019 064489.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in purple, olive, and ochre tones. A large central vignette presents a detailed engraved view of the Royal Palace (Buda Castle) set within an elaborate cartouche surmounted by a spread eagle. Flanking panels carry the denomination rendered in multiple languages within guilloche lozenges, with repeated numeral 100 in each corner.
