| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Macau occupies the central field, featuring the Portuguese royal shield surmounted by a mural crown, flanked by two kneeling winged angels as supporters. The left angel holds a cross staff and the right holds an armillary sphere. A scrolled ribbon below the shield bears the Latin motto in two parts. Thirteen five-pointed stars are distributed around the inner border. The legend MACAU arcs across the upper field and the date 1981 appears in large numerals at the bottom. |
