| Obverse description | Central depiction of the ornate Baroque facade of the Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, Macau's most celebrated landmark, rendered in fine detail with arched niches, pilasters, and decorative finials. The legend 'MACAU' arcs across the upper field in large serif capitals, flanked on each side by a ring of five-pointed stars arranged along the inner border.
