| Reverse description | A detailed, high-relief depiction of a standing pig facing left, occupying the central field — representing the Year of the Pig in the Chinese lunar calendar. To the upper left, the Chinese characters '壹佰' (one hundred) are inscribed, while '澳門' (Macau) appears to the upper right. The denomination '100 PATACAS' is engraved in two lines below the central motif, with '100' above 'PATACAS'. The design is framed by a reeded border. |

| Additional information |
Macau's lunar series patacas were issued under the authority of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino, a Portuguese colonial institution that retained monetary control over the territory until handover to China in 1999. The 1995 Pig issue arrived during a period of acute political negotiation between Lisbon and Beijing, with the Joint Declaration already signed and the clock visibly running on Portuguese administration.
KM#73 is frequently conflated with the gold counterpart struck the same year; the silver is the more common of the pair but sees consistent demand from both lunar series collectors and those assembling pre-handover Macanese material.
