| Obverse description | The crowned arms of Macau occupy the central field, depicting the Portuguese royal shield supported by two winged angelic figures in robes: the dexter supporter holds a cross staff and the sinister supporter holds an orb. A royal crown surmounts the shield. A scrolled ribbon below the supporters bears the motto in Latin script reading 'CIDADE DO NOME DE DEUS DE MACAU' and 'NAO HA OUTRA MAIS LEAL'. The legend 'MACAU' arcs along the upper periphery in large capital letters, flanked by a ring of eight-pointed stars, with the date '1980' displayed prominently along the lower rim. A small mint mark appears below the date. |
