Additional information

Macau's lunar series coins are issued under the Monetary Authority of Macao, which has managed the pataca's peg to the Hong Kong dollar since 1977 — a arrangement that has kept the currency stable through the 1999 handover to China and beyond. The 2015 Goat issue falls within the second full cycle of Macau's lunar silver program, which reset after completing its first twelve-year run.

At 155.52 grams, these are five-troy-ounce pieces — a format that became increasingly standard among Asian mint lunar issues in the 2010s as collector demand for larger silver holdings grew.
