正面描述	Central field displays the arms of Macau: a Portuguese-style shield bearing the five quinas of Portugal, supported on either side by a kneeling winged angel figure, the whole surmounted by a royal crown flanked by a Cross of the Order of Christ to the left and an armillary sphere to the right. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the legend CIDADE DO NOME DE DEUS DE MACAU NAO HA OUTRA MAIS LEAL. Thirteen five-pointed stars are arranged around the coat of arms in the field. The legend MACAU arcs across the upper field in large serif letters, and the date 1991 appears in large numerals at the bottom, all within a reeded border.

The series was aimed squarely at the collector market — circulation was never the point. KM#48 is the goat issue in that run, struck by the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda in Lisbon rather than locally, a logistical reality of Macau's limited minting infrastructure at the time.
