Bilingual Chinese and Portuguese inscriptions appear throughout, with the denomination numeral 100 printed in large format at left. The bank's name and denomination are set in both Chinese characters and Roman script.

背面描述	The reverse carries a detailed intaglio cartographic vignette of the Macau peninsula as it appeared in 1949 at centre, complete with a compass rose indicating north. To the left, a large tree and a steam ferry are rendered in fine line engraving against a wave-pattern guilloche background, with traditional fishing vessels visible at lower centre. An optically variable numeral 100 appears at lower right, and bilingual date and regulatory inscriptions are set at lower left.
