Commenti	BA International — the final corporate identity of what began as the British American Bank Note Company in 1866 — printed this note in Canada during what was a complicated moment for the Peruvian economy. The "nuevo sol" itself had only been introduced in 1991 as part of the structural reforms that followed the catastrophic hyperinflation of the late 1980s, when the inti collapsed at rates exceeding 7,000% annually. The 100-denomination carried real weight in daily commerce at this point in the stabilization period. BA International ceased operations in 2012, making their surviving contracts with Latin American central banks a closed chapter.
