正面铭文 KINGDOM OF BHUTAN འབྲུག་ཡུལ་
背面描述 The reverse presents a yin-yang inspired circular medallion at center, depicting two stylized tigers rendered in traditional Bhutanese decorative style, their bodies interlocked in swirling symmetry amid cloud and floral motifs, all enclosed within an ornamental scroll-work frame. The legend 2022 YEAR OF THE TIGER arcs along the upper field in spaced Latin letters. The denomination NU. 100 is inscribed prominently below the central design, with the specification 1/2 OZ 999 FINE SILVER appearing in smaller lettering beneath it along the lower rim. The overall composition reflects the Bhutanese Lunar New Year commemorative tradition, blending Eastern iconographic conventions with refined minting craftsmanship.

附加信息

Bhutan's lunar series issues are produced under a standing arrangement with foreign minting houses — this piece almost certainly struck in either Germany or New Zealand rather than domestically, as Bhutan has no facility capable of producing proof-quality silver coinage. The Royal Monetary Authority has issued commemorative silver ngultrum since the 1970s, primarily for export to the collector market; these coins have never circulated in the kingdom.

The Tiger holds particular weight in Bhutanese Buddhist cosmology and is closely associated with Guru Rinpoche, who is said to have flown to the cliffside of Paro Taktsang on the back of a tigress.
