| Opis awersu | The obverse features an elaborate, high-relief rendering of the Bhutanese royal emblem at centre, depicting a double vajra (dorje) surrounded by two confronted dragons amid stylised clouds and lotus blossoms, all executed in a traditional Bhutanese decorative idiom. The dragons, rendered in fine detail with scaled bodies and clawed feet, flank the central motif symmetrically within a raised inner border. The curved legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper periphery in spaced Latin capitals. A Tibetan script inscription, reading the name of the kingdom in Dzongkha, appears along the lower margin within the flat field. |

Bhutan's lunar series issues are produced under mandate from the Royal Monetary Authority, which has operated as the kingdom's sole currency authority since its establishment in 1982.
