Obverse description Portrait of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck at right, set within a fine guilloche underprint in blue and purple tones, with the royal emblem of Bhutan at left centre. A large blank watermark oval appears at left, flanked by intricate geometric border patterns. Bilingual inscriptions in Dzongkha and English run across the note, with the denomination numeral '100' at lower right.

Reverse description Central vignette presents a detailed intaglio rendering of Tashichho Dzong, the fortress-monastery in Thimphu, set against a pale pink and green guilloche ground.
