The denomination '100圓' is prominently inscribed at the bottom of the field, flanked by the purity mark 'Ag999' to the lower left and the weight indication '1 oz.' to the lower right. Additional information

Taiwan's Stamp EXPO 2008 was held in Taipei that August, marking the island's first time hosting a major international philatelic exhibition. The silver commemorative issued alongside it was part of a broader Taiwanese strategy during the 2000s of using numismatic releases to assert cultural presence on the world stage — a delicate exercise given the ROC's exclusion from most intergovernmental bodies.

Y#584 is one of several collector-oriented silver issues from the Central Bank during this period that saw limited secondary market movement outside Taiwan itself.
