| Reverse description | Plain, largely featureless reverse with a central square perforation aligned with that of the obverse. The flat field displays no principal design elements, though faint residual casting marks and surface irregularities are visible across the heavily textured iron surface. A raised inner rim frames the square hole, and a broad plain outer rim borders the coin. The reverse bears the value inscription 百當 (hyakutō, meaning 'equal to one hundred') in raised Chinese characters, positioned to the right and left of the square hole respectively, identifying the denomination as equivalent to one hundred mon. |
