Reverse description A rampant mouflon (Ovis orientalis ophion), the national animal of Cyprus, is depicted in bold relief at centre-right, shown in a rearing posture with its forelegs raised and its characteristic large curved horns prominently rendered. The large numeral 100 appears in the lower field beneath the animal, with the legend MILS inscribed below in Latin characters. The design is set within a plain inner field bordered by a wavy decorative band running around the full circumference of the coin, itself enclosed by a reeded outer edge.
