Obverse description Printed in blue on a polychrome underprint, combining intaglio (calcography) and lithographic techniques. The central vignette presents a portrait of Afonso Augusto Moreira Pena, sixth President of the Republic (1906–1909), flanked on either side by the denomination numeral 100. A diagonal handstamp autograph of the conference official crosses the body of the note.
